I always had in the back of my mind that, rightly or wrongly, I expected to work more when I was older because I had not, in fact, become a star in my 20s or 30s. I still feel I've only gotten better as an actress. I knew that if I just hung in there, I could really have a shot. I just didn't know where it would come from.
